RUITONG LI ｜李瑞彤
Ruitong Li born in 2002, a young artist from China who lives and studies in London, focusing on mixed media and textile-based practices. She completed her undergraduate studies in Fashion Design at University of Southampton and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Textile Design at the Royal College of Art.
生于2002年，生活学习于伦敦，来自中国的青年艺术家，专注于综合材料与纺织品创作。本科毕业于南安普頓大學時尚設計專業，現于英国皇家艺术学院攻读硕士纺织品设计专业。
艺术家李瑞彤的作品探索了在自然和建筑环境中运行的无形边界的存在。这些边界并不总是物理上显而易见的，但它们持续地调节着空间的导航、感知和体验方式。
The works of artist Ruitong Li explore the presence of invisible boundaries operating within natural and architectural environments. These boundaries are not always physically apparent, yet they continuously shape how space is navigated, perceived, and experienced.
艺术家从有机地形（如稻田的流动沟壑）和僵硬的城市系统（如交通标志和道路障碍）之间的对比中，开发了一系列的几何构成图案，体现了自然形成和人类干预之间的紧张关系。
The artist develops a series of geometric compositions from the contrast between organic terrains—such as the flowing furrows of rice fields—and rigid urban systems, including traffic signs and road barriers. These works articulate the tension between natural formation and human intervention.

These forms exist within the interstitial space between the visible and the invisible. They function not only as visual elements, but also as traces of control, memory, and spatial division. Even as they fade into the background or become difficult to perceive, their influence persists—subtly yet powerfully guiding the body, structuring movement, and shaping behaviour.
